Whorls

So here we go embarking on the task, the privilege, the mystery of patching a perfectly good eye until the child is eight or so. Who knew our elegant brain takes eight years to learn the expanse and breadth of the eye? I wonder what splash this obedience of patching will make in our path.

You have such a great outlook. I'm so happy and praising God for your little miracle. And now I'm praying, "Lord, give me the same attitude and outlook as I face my own challenges and "unfairnesses" in life."

Fairness--now that is a subject to get hung on, isn't it? Oh that I could see it as God's attention, His gaze firmly on me, His confident voice saying,"You can do this. I MADE you to do this." That I could see unfairness as an honor and privlege, the way my daddy did in taking care of my mama through ovarian cancer--unto death.

Oh, now that makes me cry. An honor.
