Bike Rides

This is the girl who wipes down our soap dispenser with a hair bow when I ask her to clean for company. And her side-kick who sits on on the counter and watches with complete adoration.

She always spots the biggest trees.

And he pedals the fastest.

Sometimes this makes for a tangle.

Or a long ride.

Whoever watched you as close as the next closest sibling in age? Whatever brought out more competition and admiration. We all are the better for it :)

I'm impressed with her resourcefulness. Why use a wash cloth when a hair bow seems much more interesting. Thanks for the smile this morning....Love ya

I think I know that road. . . or at least, it looks very much like road I used to walk when Ruth was a baby in a sling. I think often of these words: "Make your own fun." In context of a family, those words pack a powerful punch. When I'm feeling grumpy & am "making my own" a negative place to be, I'm reminded that the atmosphere of my home is my responsibility. Thanks for the reminder.

Whoa - Adina's comment about how I'm responsible for the atmosphere in our home just smacked me in the face. (In a good way!) Great post - and great kiddos!

That pic of them battling it out while their handlebars are tangled...made me laugh right out loud! THAT photo could be blown up, with the single word caption "Siblings"...says it all :)

I love living moments through your children's eyes. Full. Alive. To notice the Biggest Tree. Put my efforts into Pedaling the fastest. Find grace in the tangle.

Oh! I love you, Bethany! And I love your sweet, sweet family!!
